GriefShare: Grief Recovery Support Group

Grief ShareIt may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel.

This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. GriefShare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Please join us.

Bethel Bible Fellowship Church will be hosting a GriefShare Group starting with orientation on February 4th @ 10:30am-12:00pm. All meetings will be on Saturdays. There is a registration fee of $15.00 for this 13 week support group; a workbook is included. Sorry, but there is no childcare for this group. Group Facilitators: Pastor Dave Schlonecker, Jeannette Laube, Karen Atkins.

Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference? (Philip Yancey)

Prayer: Does it Make a Difference by Philip YanceyWriting as a fellow pilgrim, Yancey probes such questions as: Is God listening? Why should God care about me? If God knows everythig, what’s the point of prayer? Why do answers to prayer seem so inconsistent? Why does God sometimes seem close and sometimes seem far away? How can I make prayer more satisfying? Yancey tackles the tough questions and in the process comes up with a fresh new approach to this timeless topic. “I have learned to pray as a privilege, not a duty,” he says, and he invites you to join him on this all-important journey.
